Custodia Security (Pty) Ltd, is situated in the Magaliesburg region, Gauteng Province, with a branch in Johannesburg.All sites and operations are managed and controlled from our 24hr control room.Our company has more than 17 years experience in the security service industry, and we strive for excellence.
Crime in South Africa is ever increasing. Because of various reasons the Police force can’t provide the security needed. It has become the norm for every individual to give attention to his/her personal security situation. This usually includes some form of services from Security companies. The problem faced currently is the ever increasing costs, of salaries, equipment, fuel, and inflation. The challenge to security companies is to find the correct balance between human resources and technology.
The strength of Custodia Security is our service. We tailored our Management structure to the extend where we can give detail attention to every customer. Each customer’s requirements are known by management in detail. The size of the company is such that no customer is just a number. Each site with its specific security challenges is known. PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority) was established by the South African government to ensure that the entire security industry is operated legally, safely and professionally.

Quality & Service
All security guards are hand-picked and will not be appointed as a security guard before all security checks have been done on the particular person himself. This includes a total background check, police clearance and a previous employment check.
These security guards will then be placed at Head Office for a 4 day skills development course, where they will be given a comprehensive course on 5-tone radio communication, logbook procedure, access management, securing of site/premises and connect handling skills. We also teach them correct phone etiquette and customer handling. No security guard will be considered if they fail any one of these tests.
SITE & SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Guard allocation is site specific and is determined via a comprehensive risk analysis. Also included in the risk analysis is identification of critical areas where clock points are allocated to ensure that those specific areas are inspected/patrolled.
The performance of the guards are verified from the clocking history gathered each day from the system. A dedicated officer in the Control room will perform radio contact with each guard every half hour. This is done to ensure that there is no incidents on site. All response officers/supervisors will perform regular patrols at sites, during any hour of the day or night. This is done to ensure the safety of the site and to ensure procedures are followed. Each response officer/supervisor will then sign the occurrence book to log the site attendance.
Any incident, inspection, visit or occurrence must be logged in the occurrence book. This is done to ensure that in the event of any legal proceeding (theft), such book can be used as a legal occurrence register of events of critical areas where clock points are allocated to ensure that those specific areas are inspected/patrolled.
